Method
- Remove any excess skin from chicken breasts and place in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Mix soup, rub, any additional seasoning, and chicken broth in a medium bowl. Pour mixture over chicken breast.
- Cook over low heat for 4-5 hours, or high heat for 3-4 hours. If using frozen chicken, heat for the first hour on high heat before turning down to low.
- Shred chicken breast into large chunks using forks and return to slow cooker.
- Add noodles to slow cooker, stir to combine, and cook on high for an additional 45 minutes.
Notes
I like to use a BBQ rub in most of my dishes, since it provides some additional flavor. Don't skimp on this. Season generously or you'll have a bland dish.
If you don't have a BBQ rub, use a poultry salt in combination with Garlic and Onion Powder.
